Values - Community Involvement

MRC and its employees believe strongly in giving back to our community.  One of the measures of MRC’s success is our ability to help important causes.  MRC founded and supports two non-profits, and MRC employees are active volunteers with and donors to these and other charitable organizations including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund, Toys for Tots, and Dress for Success.

Texas Center for the Missing

The Texas Center for the Missing, formerly known as Gabriel’s Gifts, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for families and the volunteers searching for their missing children. Founded in 2000 by Doreen Wise after the four-month disappearance and tragic loss of her son, Gabriel, the organization is driven to help keep children safe. We have grown into an organization that truly makes a difference in the Houston community:

  • We administer the Houston Amber Alert Program
  • We train law enforcement on the Amber Alert system.
  • We provide 24-hour support to law enforcement by providing Amber Alert consulting and Search and Rescue volunteers as needed
  • We train search and rescue volunteers through our search and rescue volunteer alliance.
  • We provide prevention education to parents and children, as well as child identification kits.
